THE CAPITAL SYMBOL

Money is one of the most powerful and contradictory symbols of our civilization. Not as a material object, but as an abstract construct that organizes relationships, hierarchies, and desires: a sign that promises fluidity, but also imposes dependence, control, and fragility.

In this work, created in an almost ethereal volume, suspended and pierced by metal, I seek to suggest the ungraspable, that which circulates and dissolves. The structure that surrounds it supports and secures it, but also presses down on it. The symbol does not float freely: it is contained, pierced, conditioned.

The piece does not seek to glorify or condemn money, but rather to expose it as a contemporary totem: an abstract form that has acquired decisive weight in the organization of the world. Capital appears here as a fragile architecture, sustained by unstable balances and constant tensions, reflecting the vulnerable systems that nevertheless continue to articulate our collective experience.
