THE CROSSROADS

This work is based on the intersection as a fundamental gesture: a point where different forces meet, touch, and transform. It is not a place of arrival, but of decision. The central volume, crossed and supported by metal rods, embodies that moment when form ceases to be stable and enters into a relationship with its surroundings.

The material shows traces, tensions, and fractures, as if the intersection always left a mark. Nothing remains intact: each intersection involves loss, adjustment, and change of direction. The structure neither fully protects nor completely subjugates; it maintains form in a state of uncertain equilibrium.

This piece proposes an interpretation of the symbol as a living experience: a space where meaning is negotiated, where trajectories are altered, and where every construction—personal, social, or historical—is defined by what passes through it.
